President Buhari Pays Tribute To Late Ooni Of Ife, Oba Adesoji

President Muhammadu Buhari has paid glowing tributes to the late Ooni of Ife, Oba Adesoji Aderemi, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the passage of the foremost monarch.

In a letter to the family of the departed Oba, a copy of which was made available to DAILY POST on Friday, the President wrote:

“It gives me a deep sense of pleasure and fulfillment to do this brief tribute in memory of the illustrious Ooni of Ife, Oba Adesoji Tadenikawo Aderemi, who reigned between 1930 and 1980.

Villa Shooting: Buhari Appoints New Chief Personal Security Officer

The President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of a Deputy Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Musa, as his Chief Personal Security Officer.

Musa’s appointment follows the redeployment of his predecessor, Commissioner of Police, Abdulkarim Dauda.

Dauda was redeployed after his involvement in the shooting incident which happened at the presidential villa some weeks ago.

The shooting incident happened after Aisha and her security details had stormed the official residence of the President’s Personal Assistant, Sabiu Yusuf, in an attempt to force him into 14-day isolation after his travel to Lagos considered to be the epicenter of COVID-19 in Nigeria.

Justice Minister, Abubakar Malami, has recommended to President Muhammadu Buhari the sacking of Ibrahim Magu, the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
