The Minister of Transportation, Mr Rotimi Amaechi said President Muhammadu Buhari will be commissioning the Lagos-Ibadan railway in January 2021.

Amaechi made this known during an oversight visit from Lagos to Ibadan to inspect the ongoing construction of the standard gauge in Ibadan on Saturday.

Deji Adeyanju, the convener of Concerned Nigerians, has urged the United States, US, to prevail on President Muhammadu Buhari not to destroy the integrity and independence of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Adeyanju made the appeal while condemning Buhari’s nomination of his aide, Lauretta Onochie as an INEC Commissioner.

The activist explained that Onochie’s nomination was unconstitutional and illegal.
