Police Finally Detains Ameerah For Fake Kidnapping Claims

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has finally found the 17-year-old Safiyanu Ameerah, with Twitter handle @ameerah_sufyan, who had come up with claims on her twitter social media space that she had been abducted alongside 17 others on the 14th of June 2022 in Abuja.

Oduniyi Omotayo who is the command’s Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the development on Friday. Omotayo, however, debunked reports that Amira and seventeen others were abducted at gunpoint.

Lagos Police Debunks Claims Of Badagry Attack By Fulanis

In a fresh report gotten by Africa Daily News, New York, the Lagos State Police Command has debunked and downplayed the alleged viral WhatsApp voice-note claiming Fulanis have invaded Badagry in Lagos.

The Command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, issued this in a statement on Wednesday in Lagos.

Reports had earlier emerged that Fulanis have camped in Muhammadu Buhari Estate, Agemowo, Badagry.

Three months after the brutal rape and murder of Vera Omozuwa, a 100-level student of the University of Benin, the Edo State Police Command on Wednesday paraded six suspects in connection with the crime.

PREMIUM TIMES reported how the victim, Vera Omozuwa, a 100-level Microbiology student of UNIBEN, was beaten inside a hall in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Ikpoba Hill, Benin City on May 13, where she went to study.

She died on May 31, 18 days after, at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital.

She was 23 years old.
