Former Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice Chief Kanu Agabi (SAN), has petitioned the current AGF and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami (SAN) over the continued disobedience to lawful court orders by the officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force.

NAN learnt that Agabi in the 7-page petition already served on Malami expressed disgust on police attitude to court judgments and asked the AGF Malami to compel the Nigeria Police Force to obey court orders.

Rivers State Governorship Election Tribunal has affirmed the re-election of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike following the dismissal of the petition filed by the defeated African Action Congress (AAC) Governorship Candidate, Biokpomabo Awara seeking the nullification of the March 9, Rivers State Governorship Election.

Gov Umahi petitions S/African govt over murder of indigene

Gov Dave Umahi of Ebonyi has petitioned the South African government over the alleged murder of a Nigerian, Mr Benjamin Simeon in South Africa.

Simeon, 43, a native of Okposi, Ohaozara local government area of Ebonyi and resident in South Africa was allegedly shot dead by gunmen in Johannesburg.

Unrest in Rivers as Wike petitions ICC, others over killing

There was a pandemonium yesterday at the headquarters of the 6 Division of the Nigerian Army in Port Harcourt following the parading of some officials of the Rivers government for alleged financial inducement during the presidential and federal legislative elections in the state.
