Make People’s Welfare Your Priority, Boost IGR – Fayemi

Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, on Tuesday inaugurated newly elected chairmen and vice chairmen for the 16 local government councils in the state, with a charge that they must make themselves accessible to the people.

The new council helmsmen were elected during the December 7, local government election in the state and sworn in on Tuesday, a week after the expiration of the tenure of their predecessors, who were elected on the platform of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).

Bello To NSA: Gov Election Reflected Kogi People’s Wish

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has downplayed the submission by the National Security Adviser (NSA), Maj-Gen Babagana Monguno (rtd), which rubbished the conduct of the November 16 governorship elections in Bayelsa and Kogi States, describing the two elections as a fiasco where the unthinkable happened.

Abiodun’s Victory, True Reflection Of People’s Wishes – APC

The party equally said the dismissal of the appeal filed by the Allied People’s Movement (APM) by the Appellate Court was a reaffirmation of the divine mandate given to Abiodun.

The four-member panel of Court of Appeal, Ibadan on Monday, upheld the election of Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

It was during the reign of PDP that Nigeria witnessed an unprecedented oil boom yet what they did was never in any way commensurate to  the wealth that accrued to the country at that time.

Admittedly, PDP fared better than APC but we shouldn’t be in a hurry to forget that PDP set the precedence for rigging in Nigeria, and APC
