Maina: Lawyer Withdraws From Ex-Pension Chairman’s Case

Adeola Adedipe, a lawyer, has applied to withdraw his services from the former chairman, Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT), Abdulrasheed Maina’s case of money laundering.

Adedipe, who is representing Maina’s company, Common Input Property and Investment Ltd, told Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Wednesday at the resumption of proceedings in the case, that he has filed a notice, signifying his intention to withdraw from further representation of his client.

Ex-Pension Chairman, Maina Released From Kuje Prison

Abdulrasheed Maina, ex-Chairman, Pension Reform Task Team (PRTT), has been released from Kuje Correctional Centre nine months after his detention, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) has confirmed.

Maina, who was arraigned before Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Oct. 25, 2019, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) alongside his son, Faisal, and firm, Common Input Property and Investment Ltd., had been in detention since the period.
