A British man who drove his car into a crowd celebrating Liverpool’s Premier League title has been sentenced to 21 and a half years in prison after admitting dozens of serious criminal charges linked to the attack.

Paul Doyle was jailed on Tuesday for injuring 134 people, including eight children, when he ploughed into Liverpool soccer fans during the club’s victory parade in May. Prosecutors said the attack lasted just over a minute but left lasting physical and emotional damage on victims across the city.

Russia Re-Enacts Historic Wartime Parade

Russian troops wearing World War II uniforms on Thursday marched across Moscow’s Red Square in memory of the historic 1941 parade when Soviet soldiers went directly to the battlefield to fight the Nazis.

The annual re-enactment featuring some 4,000 troops and T-34 tanks commemorated the legendary November 7, 1941 parade whose participants marched from Red Square to the front line, becoming a symbol of courage and patriotism.

Some 7,000 guests including World War II veterans watched the parade.

“Our duty is to continue to be victorious and build a great country,” Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said at the event.

Police Parade 49 Suspects For Kidnapping And Other Crimes

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, on Friday, paraded 49 suspects and a fake police officer, who the police said were responsible for the high rate of criminality in Abuja.

The FCT Police Commissioner Bala Ciroma, while parading the suspects said that they were arrested at different locations in the Federal Capital Territory.

He said the arrest was as a result of the synergy and cooperation among the security agencies.
