Amotekun Boss Finally Reacts To Ban On Election Participation

The Chairman of the Amotekun Corps, Osun State Chapter, Brig. General Bashir Biodun Adewinmbi (Rtd) has made an open appeal to the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari-led’s government to allow the Amotekun Corps and other arms of the security outfit to play their traditional roles during the general elections come 2023.

The Commander of the Osun State Amotekun Corps had made this open appeal while speaking to Newsmen on the ruling of the court which had barred the corps from participating in the Osun governorship election.

Osun State INEC To Extend Date Of PVC Collection Deadline

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Osun State chapter has finally announced an extension of its deadline for the collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) for prospective voters.

The Electoral Commission had also reiterated and assured that it would make the registration and collection of PVCs available to every ward across the 31 local government areas in the state from Wednesday, June 22, 2022.
