Massive Gunshots In Osogbo As Army Detains Asiri Eniba

Africa Daily News, New York has reported that there was some massive gunfire at Old Garage in Osun State on Friday as some of the thugs allegedly working for the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Oroki Branch, Osogbo, Kazeem Oyewale popularly known as Asiri Eniba exchanged bullets with the Army.

Political Thugs Attacked Me Not Protesters – Oyetola

The Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola has said that political thugs planned the attack on him during the End SARS protest on Saturday in Osogbo.

The incident occurred while the governor was addressing the peaceful protesters.

According to him, political thugs hijacked the exercise and hurled stones and dangerous weapons and vandalised several cars.

Oyetola disclosed that preliminary investigation further revealed that no live bullet or cannister of teargas was fired at the rampaging political thugs, adding that no life was lost at the scene of the incident while he was properly evacuated to safety.

Female Banker Jailed One Year For Fraud In Osogbo

A 51- year-old female banker, Yetunde Iyabo Adewunmi, was on Tuesday sentenced to one-year imprisonment for conspiracy, aiding and abating fraud.

Adewunmi was convicted of the amended charge filed against her by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibadan zonal office, before Justice Peter Lifu of the Federal High Court 2, sitting in Osogbo, Osun State.
