The Nigeria Football Federation has reached out to Super Eagles’ forward, Victor Osimhen who lost his father on Saturday evening.

Reports said Mr. Patrick Osimhen, 80, died in Lagos on Saturday night after a brief illness.

Victor Osimhen is delighted to see Lille pick their first win in six games following Saturday’s hard earned 1-0 home victory against Dijon, reports Completesports.com.

Lille have confirmed the suspension of Victor Osimhen ahead of their French Lique 1 fixture against PSG.

Osimhen is guilty of receiving three yellow cards in less than 10 league games and will miss the match against the league leaders on November 22.

Nigeria’s duo of Samuel Chukwueze and Victor Osimhen are conspicuously missing on the final 20-man nominee shortlist for the 2019 Golden Boy Award.

The Villarreal wonder kid, Chukwueze, made the top 50 nominees shortlist following his inspiring displays in the colours of the Yellow Submarines in the Laliga.

Victor Osimhen’s hat-trick and a goal from Chidozie Okereke against Libya handed Nigeria a slot in the U23 Africa Cup of Nations. Imama Amakpakabo’s men rallied past the Libyan 4-0 after losing the first leg 2-0 at the Ben Guerdane Stadium in Tunisia.
