The apex Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has warned against impending political crisis in Imo state, claiming that external forces have been contracted to destabilize the state on the guise of the recent verdict of the Supreme Court of Nigeria which removed Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, as governor of Imo state.

NAN recalls that the Supreme Court, in a unanimous decision, last week ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to issue Uzodinma a certificate of return.

Uzodinma: Ohanaeze Sends Message To Imo Residents

The Youth Wing of Ohaneze Ndigbo, the apex Igbo socio-cultural group, on Thursday, urged residents of Imo State, especially youths, to remain calm over the Supreme Court’s judgment on the governorship election in the state.

The apex court, had in a seven-man unanimous judgment on Tuesday, removed Chief Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as governor of Imo and declared Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the validly elected governor.

The National Youth Leader of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Arthur Obiora, made this call while speaking with newsmen in Enugu on political development in Imo.

The Youth Wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has congratulated Sen. Hope Uzodinma on his Supreme Court victory on Tuesday, saying that it is a `victory well deserved’.

Amotekun: IPOB Reacts To Outfit, Blasts Ohanaeze

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Saturday commended Southwest governors for establishing a security outfit, South West Security Network also known as Operation Amotekun.

2023 Is Igbo’s Turn – Ohanaeze Reacts To Arewa Forum

The apex Igbo socio-political organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo on Wednesday rubbished remarks by Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF, on Igbo Presidency.

In a chat with THISDAY, Ohanaeze’s Deputy spokesperson, Chuks Ibegbu insisted that those agitating for Biafra like the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, can’t stop the push for Igbo presidency in 2023.

ACF Secretary-General, Anthony Sani, had warned that Nigerians would be scared to elect a President from the Southeast if they are seen to be agitating for secession from Nigeria.

Ohanaeze Hints On Impeaching Buhari Over Presidency’s Cabal

The apex Igbo Socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has condemned remarks credited to President Muhammadu Buhari’s spokesperson, Garba Shehu admitting that there are cabals in the Presidency.

Ohanaeze said such claims from the Presidency was enough to impeach the President.

Shehu had maintained that the cabal in the Presidency are respectable Nigerians who have achieved a lot.
