Federal Court Nullifies All Ogun State PDP Primary Elections

Tragedy has struck for  the Ogun State PDP Chapter as a Federal High Court sitting in Abeokuta, which is the Ogun state capital has on Tuesday nullified all the primary elections which had been conducted by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in choosing some of their candidates for the 2023 general elections in the State.

The presiding judge who had given the sentence, Justice O. O Oguntoyinbo  had in his judgement ordered the party to conduct another primaries within the next 14 days.

TASUED Finally Suspends Lecturer Declared Wanted By ICPC

The Management of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, has given a fresh directive to immediately suspend one of their lecturers who has been identified as Dr. Olaniran Balogun, who had been previously declared wanted by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

Africa Daily News, New York had reported that the ICPC had in a few days ago, declared Balogun, who was the Head of the Department of Religious Studies at TASUED, wanted on the accusations that he had abused his office and demanded gratification.

Amotekun Apprehends Weed Sellers In Ogun

The Amotekun Corps in Ogun State has announced the arrest of about seven suspected Indian hemp sellers while fighting over customers in Ogun State.

Africa Daily News, New York gathered that the arrested suspects are also members of Eiye and Aiye cult groups.

The Amotekun Commander in Ogun, David Akinremi, identified the suspects, who are all men between 25 and 40 years, to include: Alimi Raimi, Ayotunde Onakoya, Ogunmade Seun, Ayodele Oreoluwakintan, Taofeek Shita-bay, Ibikunle Gbengas, and Ebiruga Oluwaseun.

Akinremi revealed that they were nabbed in connection with a case of conspiracy and cultism.

Suspected Cultists Nabbed In Ogun – Police Report

The Ogun State Police division in Ogun State on Tuesday has nabbed and detained four suspected members of the Eiye cult group for causing mayhem in the State.

They were nabbed while holding a nocturnal meeting “in preparation for an attack to be launched on members of another cult group.”

The Ogun State police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, identified the suspects as Oriyomi Bankole (a.k.a Ortom), Odedina Sodiq, Shofola Ayodeji and Adelawa Ayo.

Oyeyemi said they were nabbed at different locations in Oke-Lantoro and the technical college at Leme.
