Senate Task NEDC To Rebuild Religious Buildings

Following the wanton destruction of religious and public institutions by the Boko Haram insurgents across the Northeast, Senate on Tuesday adopted a motion asking the North East Development Commission (NEDC), to embark on reconstruction and rehabilitation.
The decision followed a point of order by Senator Aisha Dahiru Ahmed Binani representing Adamawa Central Senatorial district, explaining that attacks being orchestrated by insurgents still continue unabated.
She pointed out that the Boko Haram attack on Garkida in Gombi Local Government Area of Adamawa State on Sunday has left much to be desired, while calling on governmentβs intervention to mitigate the pains
