Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka has sent a strong warning to the newly inaugurated Amotekun operatives in Ogun State, asking them not to engage in brutality or harassment of innocent people.

The playwright did not mince words when he said that Ogun, the god of iron, will strike any operative who abuses his uniform while discharging his duties.

Soyinka said, ‘Amotekun, we are watching you. If you abuse your uniform, before Ogun strikes you, we would have dealt with you.’

Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka on Tuesday said it is time the Federal Government come out openly and admit that it has declared war against the Arts and its producers with the new Nigerian Broadcasting Commission, NBC, Regulatory Code.

Soyinka, in a statement said FG must come out openly, instead of its present tactics of piecemeal attrition.
