The Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC), an Exploration and Production subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), has mulled 600 million standard cubic feet (mmscf) of daily gas supply for domestic market, a move that would further dip the prices of cooking gas nationwide.

NNPC: Numbers Of Staff, Offices, Other Details Revealed

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) currently has 6,621 staff.

This includes those at the headquarters, all subsidiaries, divisions and offices nationwide.

NNPC made the disclosure in its report of compliance with the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) Open Data requirements.

The staff strength also includes 1,050 fresh graduates recruited in February.

In the report released on Monday and published by NAN, NNPC has 13 Divisions/Strategic Business Units.

While 5,410 of the workforce, representing 81.7 percent are male, 211 are women, representing 18.3 per cent.

No fewer than 1,000 graduate trainees recently recruited by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) are to assume virtual duty Monday, May 4, the corporation says in a statement.

The statement released in Abuja on Thursday was signed by the Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Dr. Kennie Obateru.

“The trainees are to assume duty first, virtually, while the corporation monitors the COVID -19 situation and the Federal Government’s directives to determine a date of physical assumption of duty,” he said.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) on Thursday reported an oil pipeline fire outbreak along Atlas Cove-Mosimi Pipeline, part of the System 2B pipeline in Baruwa Swamp area of Lagos. The corporation said preliminary reports of the incident indicated that the fire outbreak might have been caused by an act of vandalism by suspected oil thieves.
