
NANS To Shut Down Private Universities If Strike Continues
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) is planning to shut down private Universities in Nigeria if the over nine months strike by Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) is not called off.
This is according to the newly elected President of the Association, Sunday Asefon who is said to be 46 years old. He vowed that the studentsβ body would shut down all private universities in the country, if the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), fails to call off the nine-month strike embarked on by its members.
