A close associate of Nigeria’s President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), and member of the Board of Trustees of the All Progressives Congress, Buba Galadima, has urged the President to order ‘his people’ to unfreeze the bank accounts of #EndSARS campaigners who were clamped down in the aftermath of the nationwide demonstrations against police brutality. Galadima who spoke on Monday while featuring on Arise TV’s The Morning Show programme said that the clampdown on #EndSARS campaigners by the Buhari regime is unconstitutional.

Buhari Gets 14-Day Deadline To Probe ₦300bn Missing Funds

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has been issued 14-day ultimatum to probe over ₦300 billion missing public funds or have his government face redress in court.

The ultimatum was giving by the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP).

The body is asking Buhari to direct the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Mr Abubakar Malami, SAN, and appropriate anti-corruption agencies to urgently investigate allegations that over ₦300 billion of public funds are missing, mismanaged, diverted or stolen, as documented in the 2017 audited report by the Auditor General of the Federation (AGF).

Buhari Seeks Senate Approval For 42 Ambassadorial Nominees

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has presented the list of 42 ambassadorial nominees to the Senate for approval.

One of the nominees from the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, was appointed as career ambassador, while the rest are non-career nominees.

Former minister, Ademola Seriki (Lagos) made the list, while former Managing Director, The Guardian, Debo Adesina (Oyo) is also on the list.

Also on the list is Omo Djebah, a former ThisDay editor.

Dare Sunday-Awoniyi (Kogi), among others was also nominated by the President.
