Immediate past Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ekiti State, Chief Jide Awe, has said the Southwest region will produce the party’s candidate that will succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

Buhari Leaves Nigeria After Meeting With Security Chiefs

President Muhammadu Buhari has departed Abuja for London, to take part in the inaugural UK-Africa Investment Summit holding on January 20.

According to NAN, Buhari performed some official assignments including his meeting with security chiefs, before flying out of the country.

The president also joined hundreds of Muslims faithful at the Aso Rock Mosque, where he observed the two raka’at Juma’at prayer.

VAT In Nigeria Now 7.5 Percent As Buhari Signs Finance Bill

President Muhammadu Buhari has signed the 2019 finance bill into law in Abuja on Monday.

The import is that the Value Added Tax (VAT) in Nigeria is now officially 7.5 percent from 5 percent.

The bill was submitted to the national assembly alongside the budget but the bill signing is coming 27 days after the 2020 budget was signed into law on December 17.

The election of governors of seven states in Nigeria will be affirmed or cancelled on Monday as the Supreme Court has hinted on readiness to deliver judgement.

The Supreme Court, at the weekend, sent a hearing notice to the lawyers.

This was same as last week when the judgement on some states were delivered after similar notices were sent out.

US Vs Iran: America Warns Its Citizens In Nigeria
