UAE Makes U-Turn, Reinstates Ban On Nigerian Flights

There is some confusion as barely 48 hours after announcing the resumption of flights to Nigeria, Emirates, the UAE flag carrier, has again announced an indefinite suspension of flights to Nigeria.

Africa Daily News, New York had earlier reported that UAE authorities had initially fixed Wednesday, June 23, 2021, for resumption of flights to Nigeria but that is no longer going to happen.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has disclosed that it has acquired enough armament in the last 57 years to stave off any external aggression against Nigeria’s sovereignty in its efforts to maintain the nation’s territorial integrity.

Briefing journalists as part of activities to mark NAF 57 anniversary, Air Vice Marshal Hassan Abubakar, prided that in the last five years, the Nigerian Air Force has inducted 25 aircrafts to boost its air capabilities.
