IGP Inducts New Board To Calculate Police Losses

The Inspector-General of Police Mr Muhammed Adamu has constituted a 9 -man committee to assess and evaluate police losses during the EndSARS protest.
The Committee consists of,a Commissioner of Police; a Deputy , CP Abutu Yaro, as the Chairman, DCP Atayero Patrick, Vice Chairman and
SP Adedeji Julius as Secretary. Other six are :ACP Sulaiman Gulma,ACP Samuel Dang, CSP Kehinde Ope,SP Chijioke Kalu,SP Ajibade Sunday and  DSP Mahmud Haruna as members of the Committee.

Sanwo-Olu Told To Arrest Members Of Akindele’s Trial

The Lagos State government and the Nigeria police have come under attack over the arraignment of Funke Akindele and her husband, JJC Skillz in court on Monday.

The actress was arrested on Sunday for flouting the Lagos State social distancing order implemented to curtail the spread of COVID-19.

She and her husband, JJC Skillz, hosted a party that had over 20 people at their home in Amen Estate, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State.

The Chief Magistrate, Yewande Aje-Afunwa, fined them N100,000 and sentenced them to serve 14-day community service, among other sanctions.

Nigerian Businessmen Sponsoring Bandits – Police

The Nigeria Police have revealed that some members of the business community were sponsoring bandits.

This was contained in a statement on Sunday by Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), DCP Frank Mba.

“Unfortunately, investigation also reveals that some citizens, especially those within the business community, give tacit support to the terror groups”, he declared.

“They do this by deliberately doing businesses with them through the supply of essential goods, illicit drugs and other services.”
