Bandits Attack Niger State, Abduct Several Chinese Nationals

Gunmen on Thursday attacked a mining site in Ajata- Aboki, Gurmana Ward of Shiroro Local Government, Niger State where they killed several persons, injured and abducted many others including four Chinese nationals working in the site.

The Co-convener, Concerned Shiroro Youths Of Niger State, Sani Abubakar Yusuf Kokki, as well as the Niger State Government confirmed the incident in separate statements issued on Thursday which were obtained by Africa Daily News, New York.

The Niger State Government has disclosed that it has begun negotiation with the group of armed bandits responsible for the kidnap of the Salihu Tanko Islamic school children in Tegina, Rafi local government area of the state to see the possibilities of rescuing the kids unhurt.

Stakeholders in Niger State have alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari led administration scammed the state in the provision of dividends of democracy, despite the massive support given to him in 2015 and 2019 presidential elections in the country.
