Ex-NDDC Commissioner Aiyedatiwa Is Akeredolu’s Running Mate

Ondo Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Wednesday chose former Commissioner in the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Lucky Aiyedatiwa as his running mate for the October 10 governorship poll.

He said Aiyedatiwa possessed verifiable credentials to be his running mate.

Speaking at the swearing in of some of his aides, Akeredolu said the decision to pick Aiyedatiwa was taken after wide consultations with party leaders.

Acting Managing Director, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Prof. Kemebradikumo Pondei, revealed on Tuesday that the commission’s 2019 budget was inflated with over 500 non-existing projects.

Some Ex-militant leaders in the Niger Delta region have called on the Interim Management Committee of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), to pay contractors to avoid threats of home and other property forfeiture to banks over unpaid loans.

The group also lamented untold hardship following certified completion of work without pay.
