2022 Session Of Prison Audit Exercise Kicked Off By NHRC

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Thursday commenced the 2022 Correctional Center Audit exercise to ascertain compliance in inmates with the most optimun international practices.

The Chairperson of the Commission Dr. Salamatu Suleiman led the Commission’s delegation to the Headquarters of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS) where the event took place.

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has revealed that it has given the office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and its 36 state counterparts sufficient materials to prosecute 33 operatives of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad indicted in last year’s report of a Presidential Investigative Panel.
