Naval Officers Wives Empowers 20 Military Widows

NavalΒ Officers Wives Association (NOWA) has distributed sewing machines, grinding machines and other items that will alleviate poverty within naval barracks to over 20 widows of slain naval officers and ratings.

The wife of the Chief of Naval Staff and President of NOWA, Mrs. Theresa Ibas who gave out the items urged the women to make good use of the material and useΒ  the equipmentΒ  provided to put food on the table for their families in the absence of their husbands.

Naval War College Graduates 18 Military Officers

Eighteen military officers have graduated from the Naval Warfare Course 3 of the Naval War College in Calabar, Cross River State.

The latest graduates are the first set since the inception of the inauguration of the War College at its permanent site in Calabar in 2017.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony held at the headquarters of the Eastern Naval Command in Calabar, the Minister of Defence, Major Gen. Bashir Magashi (rtd), charged the graduands not to fail the nation that has invested so much in training them.
