Nigerians Must Embrace Unity To Grow – Osinbajo

The Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has identified the lack of unity and love as the key problems affecting the growth of the country, insisting that Nigerians must embrace unity for the country to move forward.

The vice president made this assertion in Owerri, the Imo State capital, during the wedding of the daughter of Governor Hope Uzodinma.

He called on the newlywed to love themselves as Christ loved the church.

He said, ‘In marriage, two different people from different backgrounds, are brought together and they become one. This should be a lesson for Nigerians.’

Pondering The State Of The Nation

An editorial by a prominent national daily (not THISDAY) had stirred a serious national debate in the course of last week. This was to the extent that the newspaper concluded that given the current state of the nation, President Muhammadu Buhari, had not only taken the nation back to his obnoxious days as a military head of state in the 80s, that he would henceforth be referred to as a general since his alleged democratic transmutation was incongruent with his disposition in power.

What’s more? The newspaper also claimed it would cease to refer to his government as an administration …

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said the shooter was from Saudi Arabia — the same nationality as 15 of the 19 men involved in the 9/11 attacks, some of whom attended civilian flight school in Florida.

TICAD 7: No nation wants to do business with fake Buhari

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday described the visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to Japan as a disgraceful outing, adding that it was evidential of the poor attention given to President Buhari by world leaders and investors at the seventh Tokyo International Conference on Africa Development (TICAD)

This, the party said, has further confirmed the rejection of Buhari’s government by the international community.

The party in a statement by the National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, also described as a national embarrassment and shame that President Buhari “could not seal any meaningful economic agreement at the conference but only came home …
