NASA yesterday called off a second attempt to get its new 30-story rocket off the ground and send its uncrewed test capsule toward the Moon shortly after engineers reportedly detected a fuel leak.

Engine Failure Forces NASA To Shelve Test Flight To The Moon

Unfortunate incidents which includes an unprecedented Engine failure has caused NASA to call off a test flight on Monday on of its largest-ever rockets which was supposed to go to the moon in a setback to the ambitious program to send humans back to the Moon and eventually to Mars.

SpaceX Brings NASA Astronauts Safely Home In Milestone Mission

America’s first crewed spaceship to fly to the International Space Station in nearly a decade returned safely to Earth on Sunday, splashing down in the Gulf of Mexico.

The mission, carried out jointly by NASA and the private company SpaceX, demonstrated that the United States has the capacity once more to send its astronauts to space and bring them back.

The SpaceX Crew Dragon Endeavour splashed into the water off Pensacola, Florida at 2:48 pm (1848 GMT), trailed by its four main parachutes.

It was the first water landing for a crewed US spaceship since the 1975 Apollo-Soyuz mission.

NASA Astronauts Dock At International Space Station

The two NASA astronauts aboard the SpaceX Crew Dragon docked at the International Space Station today.

This was after they left the Earth 19 hours ago from Florida.

Their spaceship was the first crewed ship launched from American soil since 2011..

Robert L. Behnken and Douglas G. Hurley were launched into orbit on Saturday atop of a SpaceX rocket.

It also marked the first time the private company founded by Elon Musk sent humans into space.

While SpaceX founder Elon Musk is facing blistering criticism for calling stay-at-home orders “fascist”, officials representing his space company and NASA are trying to allay coronavirus fears.
