Musa Danyiska, a sociopolitical critic based in Kaduna and a former PDP chieftain in the state’s Kagarko Local Government Area, claimed on Tuesday that Islamization efforts were to blame for the country’s rising crime and banditry rates as well as the party’s decision to field a Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket.

Recent reports reaching the desk of Africa Daily News, New York have revealed that the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has raised an alarm that some staff of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are allegedly denying and banning some Muslims the right to register for Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in some south western states.

Professor Isiaq Akintola who is the MURIC Director had made this disclosure in Ibadan on Sunday while delivering his speech during a programme organised by Political Awareness Group (PAG) an association of Muslim Professionals and Technocrats in Nigeria.

Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), has described the Nigeria Bar Association, NBA’s decision to withdraw its invitation to Governor Nasir El-Rufai as parochial, myopic, and jejune.

The NBA yesterday removed the name of El-Rufai from the list of speakers at its 2020 Virtual Annual General Conference (AGC) which is scheduled for 26th to 29th August, 2020.

Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has rejected the timetable of the 2020 West African Secondary School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE).

The body said the dates clashed with Muslims’ Friday prayers.
