Telecommunications giants MTN, have revealed that its services in Nigeria could be disrupted as a result of rising insecurity in different parts of the country.

Africa Daily News, New York has learnt that MTN Nigeria is the first company to acknowledge a possible disruption to its services due to insecurity in Africa’s most populous nation.

Nigeria faces increased insecurity across the country — ranging from mass abductions at schools, kidnappings for ransom, armed conflict between herdsmen and farmers, armed robberies, and various insurgencies — a drag on growth and job creation.

MTN Nigeria Profit Shrinks To ₦144.24 Billion

MTN Nigeria’s profit dropped by 3.3 per cent, recording ₦144.24bn profit after tax in the nine-month period ended September 30, the company’s unaudited financial report released on Wednesday has shown.
