Boeing said Monday it would temporarily suspend production of its globally grounded 737 MAX jets next month as safety regulators delay the aircraft’s return to the skies after two crashes.

The decision confirmed investor fears that the company’s recovery from the crisis is dragging on longer and creating more uncertainty for Boeing than executives anticipated.

Boeing’s travails since March have weighed on the US economy, holding down American manufacturing output, trade and sales of durable goods while damaging the company’s performance on Wall Street’s benchmark Dow Jones Industrial Average.

Yellow Card Turns To Six-Month Ban For South African

Cape Town City midfielder Mpho Makola has been banned for six months after shoving a referee — an offence for which he was only yellow carded.

The 33-year-old former international used both hands to push referee Abongile Tom last month after opponents Kaizer Chiefs were awarded a penalty during a League Cup match.

Although a red-card offence, Tom only cautioned out-of-control Makola, who had to be dragged away from the match official by teammates.

An Ikeja Chief Magistrates Court on Monday sentenced a 30-year-old unemployed man, Sulaimon Agboola, to six months in Kirikiri Correctional Facility, Apapa, Lagos, for stoning police officers on duty.
Chief Magistrate M.O. Tanimola sentenced Agboola after he pleaded guilty to five counts of conspiracy, unlawful society, assault, breach of the peace and possession of hemp.

Doctors will use a second Ebola vaccine from November in three eastern provinces in the Democratic Republic of Congo to fight the deadly virus, medical officials said Sunday.

“It’s time to use the new Ad26-ZEBOV-GP vaccine, manufactured by Johnson & Johnson’s Belgian subsidiary,” said Dr. Jean-Jacques Muyembe, who leads the national anti-Ebola operation in the DRC.

The Nigerian Navy (NN) on Sunday said its operatives had arrested a total of 19 imposters in the First Quarter of 2019.

Navy spokesman, Commodore Suleman Dahun,made this known in a statement on Sunday in Abuja.
