Kidnaped Abuja Monarch Released After ₦6.5 Million Ransom

The traditional ruler of Rubochi in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory(FCT), Mohammed Ibrahim Pada, who was kidnaped last Wednesday has been released.

The monarch was said to have regained his freedom after his relative paid ₦6.5 million to the kidnappers.

It was gathered that the traditional ruler was released unhurt around 12 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday after spending four days with his abductors.

Our corresspondent gathered that the kidnapers who initially demanded N30,million from the relatives of the traditional ruler later reduced the amount to N6.5million and released him at a forest in a neighbouring

Rivers Monarch Advises Against Recruitment Of Non Indigenes

The paramount ruler of Akpor Kingdom in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, Anele Orlu-Oriebe,  has directed that those who must be recruited into any local vigilance group in the kingdom must be indigenes of the area.
Orlu-Oriebe gave the directives yesterday, when  hundreds of residents of Rumuekini community, especially residents of Akas Avenue, in the kingdom, staged a peaceful
protest over alleged rumours of redeploying some members of the local vigilance group known as ONELGA Special Peace and Advisory Committee, who were recently deployed in the area.

Kogi Guber: Monarch Decrees Death For Irate Politicians

Ahead of Saturday’s governorship election, in Kogi State, the Olu of Magongo, Obin Sam Bola Ojo, has placed a curse on whoever brings violence to his kingdom, declaring that the person will die a mysterious death before the end of this year.

The monarch stated this recently during a door-to-door sensitization programme in Ogori Magongo Local Government which was organized by the Challenge Parenthood Initiative, CPI.
