Insecurity: Why Herdsmen Took To Arms Struggle – Miyetti Allah

The National President of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Alhaji Bello Bodejo, has claimed that years of deprivation, injustice, and neglect forced some aggrieved Fulani pastoralists in the country into arm struggle with the government and local communities.

He further alleged that Fulani pastoralists have not been given fair treatments over the years in Nigeria, and in spite of several complaints and calls for change, no respite came their way, thus forcing the aggrieved ones to retire to the bush from where they periodically express their anger through attacks.

Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land, Iba Gani Adams, has reacted to the threat by Miyetti Allah Koutal Horeto establish a 5,000 members vigilance group in the 36 states of Nigeria.

According to the highly revered Yoruba leader, such a move and statement can lead the country towards anarchy.

Adams, who reacted to the statement in an interview with newsmen, called on the Federal government to immediately call the Fulani group to order before it is too late.

A group of Fulani elders, under the aegis of Concerned Fulbe Forum, has criticized Bello Bodejo, leader of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore for accusing Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, of sponsoring the End SARS protest.

The elders questioned the state of mind and leadership credential of Bodejo in aspiring to lead Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore.

They wondered why Tinubu whose properties have been destroyed in Lagos State would allegedly sponsor the people to destroy his assets.
