The coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Prof. Charles Dokubo, said at the weekend that though he observed distortions in the structure of the programme on assumption of office, he has maintained zero tolerance for any form of illegality under his watch.

He said even as he had never altered the structure he inherited, especially with regards to beneficiaries captured in the database of the Amnesty Programme, he took steps to redress glaring irregularities and cases of injustice. Osinbajo goes to U.S, meets Pence

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will depart Nigeria on Saturday for U.S. where he will be meeting with his U.S. counterpart, Mr Mike Pence, and other key groups and interests in the country.

Osinbajo’s spokesman, Mr Laolu Akande, disclosed this in a statement in Abuja.

Ahead of his meeting with Pence on Wednesday in Washington D.C, Osinbajo will be meeting with the Council on Foreign Relations on Monday in New York.

In his meeting with Pence, Osinbajo will be discussing matters of mutual interests between Nigeria and the U.S.

Gov. El-Rufai meets with Pastors for endorsement

Kaduna state governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, at the weekend met with a group of pastors, saying his administration’s decision not based on religion and ethnicity.

The governor said he has been working with people around him based on competency to get results, not minding their tribe, religion, as he called on residents to unite for progress of the state.
