2023: Vehicles I Distributed Were Donated By Friends –Malami

Following the uproar generated by the distribution of expensive cars to his foot soldiers ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, on Tuesday claimed it was his friends and political associates that donated N135 million worth of vehicles in Kebbi State and not himself.

Nigeria To Revive Special Courts To Probe Boko Haram Sponsors

The Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Malami Abubakar, has explained that the federal government will revive special terrorism courts for the sole purpose of trial of suspected terrorists in the country.

Malami, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, said that the measure is part of the bold step of the presidency to tame the activities of terrorists that have been waging an endless war against the nation.

Abubakar Malami, the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, on Sunday declared that he did not receive any correspondence from the United States, US, lawmakers over the re-arrest and continued detention of Omoyele Sowore, convener of the RevolutionNow protest.

Malami stated that no such letter got to his office before the close of work last Friday.

Femi Falana, senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN), says Abubakar Malami risks being removed as the attorney-general of the federation (AGF) if he fails to secure the release of Omoyele Sowore.

Last Friday, Malami took over Sowore’s case from the Department of State Services (DSS), and with this development, Falana, counsel to the activist, asked him to use his office to secure Sowore’s release.

The AGF, however, said he cannot take any decision on Sowore’s release.
