Oyo State Governor, Mr. Seyi Makinde, yesterday said the era of going cap in hand to beg for federal allocations would soon be over in the state.

Makinde, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, made the declaration during a thanksgiving service held at the Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel) in Bashorun, Ibadan.

Oyo Government To Recruit More Teachers Soon – Makinde

Gov. Seyi Makinde of Oyo state, says the state government would soon recruit more teachers to enhance quality education delivery in public schools across the state.

Makinde stated this at the 90th anniversary of Government College, Ibadan on Saturday.

He said the recruitment of more qualified teachers in public schools in the state, would go a long way in improving the performance of public school pupils and students in national examinations.

Gov. Makinde declares assets, worth over ₦60 billion

Mr Seyi Makinde, the Oyo State Governor, on Monday, made public his assets after he received a copy of the asset declaration form which he had earlier submitted to the Oyo State office of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) in Ibadan.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that details of the assets show that he is worth over N60,473,300,066 according to the figures in the forms calculated with CBN rates for foreign currencies.
