Army Court-Martials Sergeant For Brutalizing Wife, Son

The Nigerian Army has court-martialed one Sgt. Abdulrazaq Moshood, a Military officer with command Army Records, Charimaigumeri barracks, Lokoja, Kogi State, for allegedly assaulting his wife and his six-month-old baby.

The victim of the assault identified as Mrs Firdause Abdulrazaq while demanding justice from Nigerians, said she had been suffering in the hands of her husband since 2014.

Mrs Abdulrazaq, who admitted that she has no home or business, told DAILY POST that she has to cry out for help, to put an end to the domestic violence meted on her by her husband.

No fewer than eight people lost their lives on Monday in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital, when a truck laden with petrol rammed into some vehicles, crushing its victims after losing control.

The ghastly auto crash which occurred at Felele community along Lokoja-Abuja highway involved 4 tricycles, 2 motorcycles 3 cars and a bus, with seven people sustaining serious injuries.

Kogi Election: INEC Official Abducted In Lokoja

An unidentified official of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been abducted in SUBEB polling unit in Lokoja.

The abduction occured after gunmen shot sporadically into the air while voting was going on.

It was gathered voters scampered for safety before the gunmen went away with the official.

Meanwhile, voting has ended at Bishop Crowther LGEA Primary School Lokoja.

Sorting of votes and counting of ballots will commence by 2pm.

Masked Security Men Attack Makinde In Lokoja Hotel

Oyo Governor Seyi Makinde and Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Saturday’s election in Kogi state, Musa Wada on Friday escaped being whisked away by masked gunmen, who attacked the Suitorial Hotel where they were lodged.

The gunmen, dressed in police uniforms and bullet proof masks, were said to have arrived the hotel at about 12.50 pm with some of them scaling the fence to gain access.

Makinde is the Chairman of the PDP Governorship campaign Council for Kogi state.
