‘Be Obedient’ Oyedepo Tells Church Members

The wife of the Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church, LFC, Worldwide, Pastor Faith Oyedepo, has called on members of the church to be ‘obedient; in the affairs of the Kingdom (of God).

On his part, the husband, Bishop David Oyedepo, went on to posit that obedience is better than sacrifice.

The couple made the comment while speaking at the church’s monthly leadership conference.

The declarations were yesterday, interpreted as a subtle endorsement of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party for the 2023 general elections, Mr. Peter Obi.

Obi’s supporters have been campaigning under the alias ‘Obi-dients’.

Leo Igwe, founder of the Humanist Association of Nigeria (HAN) has ‘knocked’ Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church, a.k.a Winners Chapel, over his claim of healing some coronavirus patients through prayer.

Recall that Oyedepo on Sunday disclosed that his church had recorded 114 COVID-19 healings.

He said the above number had publicly testified of being healed from COVID-19. He spoke during his sermon at the church’s headquarters.

Police Warn Oyedepo Over Decision To Reopen Church

The police in Ogun State have sent strong warning to Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel) over his plan to reopen his church.

Bishop Oyedepo, in a viral video, on Friday, said he had declared churches open, saying anybody against the reopening of churches will die.

Oyedepo’s Living Faith Church is headquartered in Ota, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government area of Ogun State.

In a veiled reference to Oyedepo, the police said they have information that some religious leaders in Ogun are preparing to open their religious centres

Nosa Aigbogun, a member of the Living Faith Church (a.k.a Winners Chapel), Uwasota branch in Benin, Edo state, has been admitted in hospital, following injuries inflicted on him by suspected thugs in military uniform, allegedly hired by Pastor Gideon Oyedepo.

The resident pastor who is a younger brother of the General Overseer of the church, Bishop David Oyedepo, was accused of constantly harassing and assaulting members of his branch, slapping them at will.
