11 Nigerian Stowaways Rescued On Liberian Waters

Reports reaching the desk of Africa Daily News, New York has it that men Nigerian Immigration Service at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport has taken hold of about 11 Nigerians returned by the Liberian Immigration Service (LIS).

Liberia has signed into law a bill that allows dual citizenship, reversing a longtime ban viewed by some as hypocritical going to the fact that the elites secretly held US citizenship.

The bill, signed into law by President George Weah Friday has now been passed by both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Africa Daily News, New York reports that the bill now amends the West African state’s nationality law, allowing Liberians to remain citizens after acquiring a second nationality.

World Football governing body FIFA has confirmed that the Super Eagles will begin the Second Round of the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers on May 31, 2021.

A new date for the second round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

The second round of the qualifiers was initially scheduled for October 2020 but has now been postponed to next year due to the disruption of the football calendar, following the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
