Sowore: Malami Speaks On ‘US Letter’ Warning Buhari Govt

Abubakar Malami, the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, on Sunday declared that he did not receive any correspondence from the United States, US, lawmakers over the re-arrest and continued detention of Omoyele Sowore, convener of the RevolutionNow protest.

Malami stated that no such letter got to his office before the close of work last Friday.

Sowore has been in custody of the Department of State Service, DSS, since he called for a revolution earlier in the year.

Despite been granted bail by courts, the secret police had refused to set him free.

It has emerged that erstwhile Executive Chairman Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) Mr. Babatunde Fowler, wrote the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Boss Mustapha to facilitate the renewal of his four year appointment-on the day of its expiration- and before President Muhammadu Buhari named Mr. Muhammad Nami as the new chairman of the FIRS.

Johnson Told Tusk He Will Send Brexit Letter Today

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson told the president of the European Council Donald Tusk on Saturday that he would send him a letter within the day to ask for a delay to Brexit.

An EU source told AFP that Tusk and Johnson had spoken by telephone at 8:15 pm Brussels time (1815 GMT), and said: “The PM confirmed that the letter would be sent to Tusk today.

Wife of singer Timi Dakolo and celebrity photographer Busola has accused the Nigeria police of forcing her to sign a letter countering her rape allegations against the senior pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly Biodun Fatoyinbo.
