Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) leader, has proposed that revenue from the Lekki Toll Gate be donated to confirmed victims of the shooting that occurred during the #EndSARS protest.

According to him, other identifiable victims of police brutality in the state should also benefit from the proceeds.

The Nigerian Army says its troops of Operation Lafiya Dole (OPLD), have announced the arrest of Zainab Usman, wife of a Boko Haram/ISWAP leader.

The Nigerian Army Operations Media Coordinator, Col. Aminu Iliyasu, in a statement on Sunday, made the announcement in an update on the war against Boko Haram and Islamic State for West Africa (ISWAP) terrorists.

Civil War: Militia Leader Sentenced To 20yrs In Prison

Charles Ble-Goude, an ally of former Cote d’Ivoire President Laurent Gbagbo, has been sentenced in absentia to 20 years in prison by a court in Abidjan, for his role in the civil war.

The civil war followed the 2010 presidential election, his lawyers said.

Ble-Goude headed the notorious Young Patriots street militia during Gbagbo’s presidency.

Gbagbo and Ble-Goude were acquitted in January by the International Criminal Court (ICC), in The Hague, of charges of crimes against humanity during the violence, in which some 3,000 people were killed.

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Edo State, Anselm Ojezua, has said that the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, is not the leader of the party in the state.

He said that the state governor, Godwin Obaseki, is the leader of the Edo APC.

The party chairman said this on Saturday when he who spoke with reporters after a meeting with party leaders in Edo North at Jattu-Uzaire, Etsako West Local Government Area of the state.

Peru opposition leader Keiko Fujimori was released from prison Friday after spending 13 months in pre-trial detention in a corruption case linked to Brazilian construction giant Odebrecht.

Bolivia’s interim leader Jeanine Anez said Friday that exiled ex-president Evo Morales would have to “answer to justice” if he returns, as five of his supporters were killed in fierce clashes with security forces.
