Gov Sanwo-Olu Lands In Port Harcourt To Unveil Wike’s Flyover

Babajide Sanwo-Olu who is the Lagos State Governor, was in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Monday to unveil some of the projects which had been executed by Governor Nyesom Wike.

The governor formal unveiled the Orochiri-Worukwo Flyover project constructed by Wike.

Sanwo-Olu commended Wike for his strong commitment to the delivery of physical infrastructure in Rivers State, noting that the governor’s effort has been recognised by all and sundry and has earned him the appellation of “Mr. Projects” within and outside Rivers State.

‘Danfo Buses To Be Remodeled, Not Scrapped’ – Sanwo-Olu

Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has said that the yellow buses popularly known as ‘danfo’ will not be scrapped as earlier reported.

Recall that the Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Frederick Oladeinde, had earlier said that the yellow buses do not have a place in the transportation master plan of the State.

Oladeinde said the yellow buses would soon be scrapped by the Sanwo-Olu administration.

However, during an interview with Channels TV, the Lagos State Governor said it will be unfair to scrap ‘danfos’ as they have served Lagos residents for a long time.

Gov Sanwo-Olu Orders Civil Servants To Resume Monday

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has ordered the remaining civil servants from grade level 1-12 to resume work on Monday.

The governor had told the civil servants to stay at home since March during COVID-19 lockdown in order to checkmate the spread of the virus.

COVID-19 cases in Lagos has nose-dived compared to what the state was recording three months ago.
