Kwara Govt Begs Doctors To Suspend Strike

Kwara State Government on Monday, appealed to medical doctors on its pay roll who declared a 7-day warning strike action to shelve their action.

The doctors on the platform of Nigeria Association of Government Medical Doctors and Dental Practitioners, NAGMDP, Kwara State chapter, on Monday declared the strike action to press for improved welfare for members and increase in renumeration.

Covid-19: Kwara Discharges Five Patients, Confirms New Cases

The Kwara State government, on Wednesday, discharged five Covid-19 patients, just as four new cases were confirmed.

This was announced in an update released by the State Covid-19 technical committee in Ilorin.

It said the number of confirmed cases has risen to 940, while active cases stands at 170.

Though the death toll remains 25, the total number of discharged patients is now 745.

The update put the total number of tests done so far at 4978, with 3877 returned as negative, while 161 tests are being awaited.
