FCTA To Demolish Shanties In Kuje After Massive Jailbreak

Due to the recent jailbreak at the medium correctional centre in Kuje, the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has slammed down a weeklong ultimatum for the demolition of some of the unauthorized buildings and shanty settlements in the town to avoid harbouring some of the escaped immates.

Already, the area council authority and its traditional ruler have given their consent for the exercise to take effect.

The stakeholders meeting to brief the community on the intended activity was held on Friday.

Kuje Prison Siege: NCoS Reacts To Inmates Stolen Money

While reacting to the news of the loss of some huge amount of money during the Kuje Prion siege, the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has openly debunked some of the reports that fleeing inmates from the Medium Security Custodial Centre, Kuje, during the attack, stole money (local and foreign currencies) which were belonging to their fellow inmates.

The Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari has finally shared a piece of his mind after visiting the Medium Security Custodial Centre, Kuje on Wednesday after it had been attacked by some yet to be identified terrorists.

NCS Finally Reacts To Massive Attack On Kuje Prisons

The Nigerian Correctional Service has finally reacted to the overnight Tuesday attack on the Custodial Centre which is situated in the Kuje area council of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Abuja which threw the whole area into a state of serious turmoil.

Umar Abubakar who is the NCS spokesperson had in a short statement confirmed that some yet to be identified gunmen attacked the facility but the armed squad of the service in collaboration with other security agencies responded to the attack.
