Obajana Controversy: Kogi Vows To Sue Dangote

The Government of Kogi State on Friday said it would drag Dangote Cement Plc to court and reclaim what rightfully belongs to the people.

The decision to go to court was taken at an emergency meeting on Thursday night between key government officials, led by Governor Yahaya Bello, and stakeholders representing the different ethnic groups in the state.

A statement signed by the Hon. Commissioner for Information, Kingsley Fanwo, said that, at the meeting, which ran into the early hours of Friday, all stakeholders resolved to head to court in the interest of the people and generations to come.

18 Pump Action Guns Intercepted By NDLEA In Kogi

Reports reaching the desk of Africa Daily News, New York reports that operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on patrol along Okene-Abuja highway, yesterday intercepted a J-5 bus with 18 pieces of pump action rifles and 1,300 cartridges in Kogi State.

According to reports, the vehicle was coming from Onitsha, Anambra State en route Kaduna-Zaria in Kaduna State.

The anti-narcotics agency said two suspects conveying the arms and ammunition, Chukwudi Aronu, 51, and Shuaibu Gambo, 23, were arrested.

This was revealed in a statement signed by NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, on Sunday.
