Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former California prosecutor and television personality closely associated with U.S. President Donald Trump, has officially assumed office as the new U.S. ambassador to Greece, marking a historic appointment as the first woman to hold the post.

Guilfoyle, 56, presented her diplomatic credentials on Tuesday to Greek President Constantine Tassoulas during a formal ceremony in Athens.
