Reno Omokri, former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan has kicked against the tradition of Pastors issuing prophecies at the beginning of every new year.

The first day of every new year is known for prophecies from different men of God about the nation and events to happen later in the year.

But, Omokri on Tuesday gave reasons why Pastors should stop giving prophecies and predictions.

According to him, most prophecies do not come to pass while others that manifest are vague.

Reno Omokri has kicked against on-demand movie platform, Netflix, showing a movie about a ”gay Jesus.”

Germany Kicks Out Russian Diplomats Over Berlin Murder

Germany expelled two Russian diplomats on Wednesday after prosecutors said Moscow could be behind the killing of a former Chechen rebel commander in a Berlin park.

Russia’s foreign ministry immediately pledged unspecified “retaliatory measures”, saying the accusations were “groundless and hostile”.

NY: 5 Cops In Hospital After Suspect Kicks Table Of Heroin

Five police officers were hospitalized after a suspected drug dealer kicked over a table covered in heroin during a raid at a Bronx home, sending powder into the air, cops said Friday.

Police were executing a search warrant at the Willis Ave. address near E. 140th St. in Mott Haven about 7:30 p.m. Thursday when one of the drug dealers flipped the table, authorities said.

EFCC kicks against ex parte order to stop Okorocha’s probe

Following an ex parte order stopping the ongoing investigation of the Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas, the Economic and Financial Crimes (EFCC) has petitioned the National Judicial Council (NJC) and the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court Justice Abdul Kafarati.

The anti-graft agency has asked the NJC and Justice Kafarati to review the conduct of the trial judge, Justice Taiwo O. Taiwo of the Federal High Court on alleged obstruction of investigation of some high profile cases.

Justice Taiwo had granted a similar order staying action on the investigation of the Senate President Bukola Saraki.

Pay television channel, Multichoice Nigeria, says season 4 of its reality TV show, Big Brother Naija, which kicks off in June, will be filmed in Nigeria.

Announcing the return of the reality TV show on Sunday, Multichoice said the 2019 edition  will have its theme as  – “Forget Wahala”.

The Senate has reaffirmed its commitment to the non sale of the National Theatre, Tafawa Balewa Square and other national monuments.

This is sequel to the adoption of the report of its Committee on Culture and Tourism at plenary on Thursday.

Presenting the report, the chairman of the committee, Sen. Fatimat Raji-Rasaki said the committee was instructed to examine monuments across the country and report back.

According to her, the committee traveled to Lagos and other parts of the country to assess the monuments and recommends that, given their historic and monetary value, they should not be disposed of.
