Unknown Persons Steal ₦31m Cash From Katsina Government House

The Government of Katsina State has confirmed the stealing of millions of naira by some yet-to-be-identified miscreants unknown persons at the account section of the State Government House.

The Director-General to the governor on New Media, Alhaji Al-Amin Isah, confirmed the incident in an interview with journalists on Thursday.

Bandits Invade Katsina Metropolis, Kill 4, Abduct Scores

There is apprehension that terrorists may have relocated to the Katsina metropolis in numbers after four people were killed and many others kidnapped over the weekend in the state.

Africa Daily News, New York reports that terrorists had yesterday struck in the metropolis, killing two members of a local vigilance group behind the Umaru Musa Yar’adua University Teaching Hospital (Federal Medical Centre) in the heart of the city.

Residents of Shola Quarters said the terrorists invaded the area at about 2am, abducting an unconfirmed number of persons, among them a couple, Yusuf Bishir and his wife, who just wedded.

Bandits Strike Again In Katsina, Kidnap 84 Children

Katsina state is fast becoming a playground for armed hoodlums and bandits as police confirmed the kidnapping of 84 school children on Saturday night.

This was some 72 hours after Kankara schoolboys captured 11 December by bandits were freed.

The 84 children were abducted 2200 GMT by armed men, who ambushed them in Mahuta village, Dandume LGA, as they were returning from a Maulud Nabbiyu event at Unguwan Alkasim village.

The Katsina State Government has stated that normalcy is returning to the state with farmers and others going about their usual duties.

Sani Blames Govt After Killing Of APC Chairman By Bandits In Katsina

Senator Shehu Sani, a former lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District at the upper legislative chamber, has blamed the government for the recent killings in Katsina State.

The Katsina State police command yesterday said that unknown gunmen killed Alhaji Abdulhamid Sani, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Batsari Local Government Area of the state.

The Police Spokesman, SP Gambo Isah, confirmed this in a statement in Katsina, saying that the incident happened at about 1:35 p.m on Sunday.

According to him, Sani was killed when he resisted to be kidnapped by the hoodlums.
