How Past Nigeria Census Were Politicised – Masari

Kastina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari has asserted that previous censuses conducted in Nigeria have been wrongly politicised and that should not be allowed to repeat itself.

Speaking while declaring open the state stakeholders’ summit ahead of the 2023 population and housing census, Masari reaffirmed that all the censuses conducted from 1963 to date including during the military region were conducted devoid of politics of tribal, religion, and regional dimensions.

An Air Force fighter jet targeting terrorists in a terrorist base near Zakka and Umadan Villages in Safana Local Government Area of Katsina State has accidentally bombed villagers, Africa Daily News, New York has learnt.

According to reports, the incident happened where the Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP, Aminu Umar, was earlier murdered by bandits, on Tuesday.

According to credible reports, the jet had hit the wrong targets in the operation launched against camps of bandits in the area, leading to the death of an unspecified number of villagers.

10 Katsina LGAs Under Severe Attack Daily- Masari Cries Out

Katsina State Governor, Bello Masari has decried the security situation in the State, lamenting that 10 out of the 34 Local Government Areas in the state are under severe attack daily by armed bandits.

The governor made this claim when he received the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Faruk Yahaya, on a courtesy visit to the State on Thursday.

Masari informed the COAS that 10 local government areas have been under repeated attacks from bandits who kill, rape, injure the people, burn houses, and rustle cattle.
