Woman Sentenced For 10 Months For Purse Theft

A purse thief met her waterloo when a Karu Upper Area Court, sitting in Abuja on Wednesday sentenced her to ten months in prison for stealing two friendsβ purses containing valuables during a birthday party.
The convict whose name is Mrs Farida Ladipo-Ajayi, a resident of Aso B, Mararba, Nasarawa State had pleaded guilty to a three-count charge of criminal breach of trust, cheating, and theft.
However, the judge, Hassan Ishaq granted the convict an option of an N25,000 fine, ordered her to pay a sum of β¦37,000 as compensation, and warned her to desist from committing the crime.…
