Another Bandit Attack On Church Confirmed By Kaduna Govt

In a sad occurence, the Kaduna State Government (KDSG) has finally confirmed the news making rounds that some bandits had laid siege to a church where they attacked worshippers, killing three people in the process and injuring two others in Kajuru Local Government Area.

Mr Samuel Aruwan who id the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs had confirmed the incident in a statement issued on Sunday in Kaduna.

Kaduna Govt Files Fresh Charges Against El-Zakzaky

Fresh tensions could be brewing as the Kaduna State government has taken another giant step to ensure the return of Sheikh Ibrahim El Zakzaky, leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) and his wife to prison.

The state Director of Public Prosecution, Daris Bayero, confirmed to Africa Daily News, New York on Friday that new charges have been filed against El Zakzaky and his wife.

Quite surprisingly, this is coming barely 48 hours after they were discharged and acquitted by the Kaduna State High Court.

Security Operatives Storm Emir Of Kano’s Palace

The new Emir to replace Muhammadu Sanusi is expected to be announced “soon.”

This was confirmed by the Secretary to the Kaduna State Government, Usman Alhaji while announcing the sacking of Muhammadu Sanusi II as the Emir of Kano on Monday.

Usman Alhaji also explained that Sanusi was removed to preserve the sanctity of the Kano Emirate.

“A new Emir of Kano will soon be appointed,” he said in a statement issued on Monday.

Meanwhile, security has been beefed up at the entrance of the palace of the Emir of Kano to avert breakdown of laws.
