While reacting to the rising spate of insecurity and killings in Kaduna State of recent, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kaduna State chapter, have expressed their displeasure at the rate of killings within the last three weeks.

Rev. John Joseph Hayab, chairman, CAN Kaduna State in a statement late night on Sunday said, “The killings are too much and the lack of concern by the government is disappointing and disgraceful.”

CAN Raises Alarm Over Rate Of Drug Addiction In Kaduna

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kaduna State Chapter, has raised the alarm over a continuous rise in drug abuse and addiction among youths in the state.
The State CAN Chairman, Rev. John Hayab, made this known to newsmen in Kafanchan, Jema’a Local Government Area, NAN reports.

Hayab said that the menace of drug abuse was fast eating deep into the fabric of the society, adding that swift and decisive action must be taken to savage the situation.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Kaduna State Chapter, has advised Governor Nasir el-Rufai-led administration to urgently take concrete and decisive steps to end the ongoing massacre of innocent souls in the state, especially in Southern Kaduna.

The party described the incessant killings as wanton, barbaric and totally unacceptable in a society with constituted authority.

A press release signed by the state Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Abraham Albera Catoh, condemned in strong terms the killings and wondered why the Kaduna state and federal governments have not intervened, noting that the ugly situation is getting out of hand

COVID-19 Rules: CAN Cautions Churches, Members

The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Kaduna State chapter, has enjoined Christian faithful to use the reopening of places of worship in the state to exhibit good conduct by strictly observing all the protocols including the washing of hands, social distancing, wearing of face masks and other rules associated with the curbing of the spread of COVID-19.
